Campsite on Funen, close to beach and nature
Looking for a welcoming campsite on Funen? Kongshøj Strand Camping is a friendly family site started in the 1960s by Jørgen and Rita Sønderby. In the early days it was still a working farm alongside the growing campsite. The last pigs weren’t sold off until 1978, and since then it has been a campsite through and through — with a bit of farming still on the side. Today the site is owned by Bent and Susanne Sønderby and run together with the whole family.
Service, shared events and nature experiences
We put a lot of weight on service for our guests, and we’re always on hand with information and help. At Kongshøj Strand Camping you can relax in a cosy, quiet atmosphere, or join in one of our shared events — from crab-fishing to twist-bread over the fire and mini-golf tournaments. Staying with us also puts you close to plenty of exciting attractions across Funen. Or head out into our own grounds, where you’ll find a fishing pond, football pitches, walking trails and much more…

250 units on the site
We have 250 units on the site, and every pitch has electricity. On top of that we have 12 cabins across 4 different categories, 8 of which are brand-new from 2015 and 2016.
We offer several different types of pitch. There are front-row pitches with a view across the Great Belt, pitches close to the sanitary buildings, and pitches near the playgrounds. There are also lovely corner pitches for peace and quiet. We have room for every size of caravan, from the smallest single unit to the large family van. Most pitches are enclosed by three hedges, which gives excellent shelter from the wind.
We also have a lovely large tent field — Solpladsen — with room for plenty of tents. The tent field sits in beautiful surroundings with a view out over our pond. There are several picnic sets, and it’s ideal for groups pitching multiple tents together.
Our central location makes us ideal for gatherings too
Our location in the middle of the country makes us ideal for gatherings. With only 15 kilometres from the Great Belt Bridge, it’s easy for families and friends from all over Denmark to meet up centrally.
We also have great facilities for club meets of various sizes. On top of our pitches, our 12 cabins and 325 m² luxury holiday home give us space for 104 overnight guests. Past meets have included the Ford P7 klubben, MKP and the Hobby klubben. For exhibitions we can offer both indoor and outdoor facilities.
