On and around the campsite, there is a wide range of nature experiences to enjoy.
Beach
We have a beautiful beach that year after year receives the Blue Flag, a sign of clean and high-quality bathing water. It’s the perfect place to spend many hours on our lovely, child-friendly beach. On warm sunny days, a swim is a must, and children’s buckets and spades are essential.
Fishing opportunities
You can cast your fishing rod either along the coast or by our marsh, and there’s a good chance of catching a pike – and perhaps serving it as fish cakes later. The area just off the campsite is especially popular among anglers. And if you’re successful, we have a well-equipped fish cleaning facility. You can also bring your own boat, as we have our own jetty.
Fire-bellied toad habitat
In 2015, we established a new habitat to support the East Funen population of the rare fire-bellied toad. Around the pond, our animals graze, and it’s a great spot to sit in the dog forest on one of the benches and enjoy the peaceful view over the water and Kongshøj valley.
Hiking
We have several different trail systems on our own land and in nearby forests. For example, you can take our “View Trail,” where you can sit and enjoy the view over the Great Belt.
Not far from the campsite, there is also a large forest where you can experience Scottish Highland cattle grazing on a vast natural meadow.
It’s also a great idea to walk to Revsøre, a charming old-fashioned fishing village nearby.
Dog forest
We have created a 5,000 m² enclosed dog forest where dog owners can walk their dogs freely, and where the dogs can run and play.
